Heidelberg scores a goal in each half for 2-0 win over Bluffton

TIFFIN, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team was defeated by the Student Princes, 2-0, at Heidelberg College on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. The Student Princes improved to 4-1 while Bluffton fell to 0-4-1 with the defeat.

Bluffton produced five shots total, including three from junior JACOB GRAHAM (Gomer/Elida). Heidelberg scored its first goal less than two minutes into the contest, while the second score came in the 49th minute. CORY BUHRMAN hit from the far right wing at the 1:57 mark and DILARD ANU knocked home his first score of the season early in period two.
 
The Student Princes were whistled for 15 fouls, one more than the Beavers. Both teams had one player collect a yellow card and another receive a red card. Heidelberg forced four corner kicks in the match. Bluffton's goalkeeper, junior BRIAN GOOD (Elida/Elida), collected 12 saves.
 
The Beavers return to action on Saturday, Sept. 19, when they host Thiel College at Sears Field. The contest is slated to start at 4 p.m., following the women's match-up with Thiel at 2 p.m.
