BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team fell to Hanover College, thanks to a goal scored with just nine minutes left in the contest that gave the Panthers a 2-1 conference victory on Saturday, October 10, 2009. The Panthers improved to 1-1 in the HCAC and 2-8 overall, while the Beavers fell to 1-2 in the conference and 3-8-1 for the season with the loss.

A Panther goal at the 13:17 mark gave Hanover the early advantage until Bluffton's BRANDON KINDELL (Kenton) connected with freshman NOAH PASSAGE (Akron, Penn./Ephrata) to tie the match with twelve minutes left in the first half. With just under 10 minutes left in the game, Hanover's MILES KRONER capitalized on his own blocked shot to gain the win for the Panthers, 2-1, over the Beavers.

Bluffton forced three more corner kicks than Hanover (5-2) and the Panthers were whistled for 12 fouls, compared to 10 for the Beavers. Bluffton's goalkeeper, BRIAN GOOD (Elida/Elida), tallied two saves.

The Bluffton men return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 14, when they battle HCAC rival Defiance College at Sears Field. The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
