RHIT scores in overtime for 1-0 shutout of Beavers

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's soccer team fell at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010. The Fighting Engineers improved to 6-7-4 overall and 3-2-2 in the Heartland Conference. Bluffton dropped to 2-13 on the season and 0-6 in HCAC action.

Tight defense led to a scoreless 90 minutes of regulation time after two periods. Less than three minutes in overtime, RHIT's WILLIAM SENAT broke the tie, giving the Engineers a 1-0 OT victory over the Beavers.
 
The Engineers produced 24 shots and forced 18 corner kicks. Bluffton goalkeepers DAN SAVILLE (Toledo/Central Christian) and BRIAN GOOD (Elida) recorded seven and six saves, respectively. The Beavers committed 12 infractions, compared to just seven for the home team.
 
The Bluffton men's soccer team will host HCAC rival Defiance College on Wednesday, October 23, 2010. The battle between the Beavers and Yellow Jackets is slated to start at 4 p.m.
