Rose-Hulman dominates in 5-0 win over Beavers

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's soccer team fell to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, by a 5-0 margin. The Beavers slipped to 2-7 overall and 0-1 in the Heartland Conference, while Rose-Hulman improved to 5-4 overall and 1-0 in the HCAC.

Rose-Hulman went up 3-0 in the opening half. Their first tally was put in the back of the net at the 9:23 mark by DREW BELK. Less than 15 minutes later, Belk scored a second goal. Before the Beavers could recover, RYAN REIBOLDT made it 3-0 with 17 minutes to play in the half.

At the 60:21 mark, RHIT knocked in its fourth goal when WILLIAM SENAT took advantage of the assist from Belk. The Engineers final goal came at the 68:33 mark from FLETCHER CARLSON who was assisted by MARCO CATTANI.

Rose-Hulman out shot Bluffton by a convincing 18-3 margin. RHIT forced four more corner kicks than the Beavers, 5-1. Each team was whistled for seven fouls.

Bluffton returns to Heartland Conference action when the Beavers host Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012. The contest is slated for 4 p.m.
