HANOVER, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's soccer team fell at Hanover College, 5-0, on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012. The Beavers slipped to 2-10 overall and 0-4 in the Heartland Conference, while Hanover improved to 5-6-3 overall and 1-3-1 in the HCAC.

Both teams came out ready to play in the first half with neither side allowing a goal. However, the second half was an entirely different story as the Panthers scored their first goal less than two minutes in. This tally came from MATT FLORA who was assisted by DREW SERVAIS. Their second goal came at the 50:50 mark when CARSON REYNOLDS scored on a ball from JOAQUIN ACUNA. Less than two minutes later, a third goal was put in the back of the net by JOHN WITTICH.

The Panther's fourth goal was scored by Flora at the 67:04 mark. Thirty-two seconds later the Beavers were called for a foul in the box, resulting in a penalty kick goal from BOB WALDREN.

The Beavers were outshot 20-5 and Hanover forced 14 more corner kicks, 15-1. Freshman keeper Jeff Yoder (Elkhart, Ind./Bethany Christian) added five saves to his season total.

Bluffton returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 17, when the Beavers host Manchester University. The contest is slated for 4 p.m.
