BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton senior PETER CARLSON (Toledo, Ohio/Springfield) recorded the first Bluffton hat trick since 2008 and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 14, 2014. 

The senior midfielder scored three goals, including the game winner with just over four minutes to play, as the Beavers stunned Marietta with a 4-3 win Saturday. The hat trick was Carlson's first in his career. He is currently tied for third in the Heartland Conference with four goals on the season.

Bluffton (1-4, 0-0 HCAC) will travel to Mount Union on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. before welcoming Thomas More this weekend.
