BLUFFTON, Ohio - On Saturday, Sept. 20, the Bluffton University men's soccer team took on the Saints from Thomas More. After giving up one goal in the first half and a quick score in the second half, the Beavers answered back with a goal of their own in the 76th minute.
The goal didn't faze the Saints and they responded with another goal a minute later to cap the 3-1 win over Bluffton. Thomas More improved to 6-2, while Bluffton fell to 1-6.
Junior JAKE HEADINGS (Cincinnati/McNicholas) scored the lone goal for the Beavers, notching his second tally of the season. ADRIAN RAMIREZ(Archbold/Archbold) connected with Headings on the goal. Senior PETER CARLSON (Toledo/Springfield) led the Beavers with two shots on goal.
Freshman keeper MATT HARDMAN-ZIMMERMAN (Forest City, PA) made his first career start for Bluffton. Hardman-Zimmerman collected three saves in the loss.
Bluffton welcomes Wittenberg to the Sears Complex at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23. Come out and support your Beavers!
