Beavers drop 4-1 decision at Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision at Wooster on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018. The Fighting Scots improved to 4-3-2, while Bluffton fell to 1-8 on the season.

Freshman Dalton Taynor (Troy, Ohio/Miami East) hit the equalizer in minute 52, but the home team broke the tie four minutes later and tacked on two more tallies in the final 12 minutes for a 4-1 victory over the Beavers.

Wooster piled up a 28-1 advantage in shots, but Taynor's attempt found the back of the net for the visitors. Wooster fired all six corner kicks in the match as Bluffton was whistled for one more foul (9-8). Freshman keeper Hunter Fleck (North Baltimore, Ohio/Van Buren) picked up five saves for the Beavers.

Bluffton will transition into Heartland Conference play with a trip to Rose-Hulman on Saturday, Sept. 29. The men will kick off at 3:30 p.m. following the women's 1 p.m. matchup with the Engineers.
