CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team moved to 1-2-2 with a 2-2 at Ohio Christian on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024. 

JJ Meyer (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) put Bluffton on top with his second goal of the season at the 32:27 mark of the first half. That score hold up until minute 69 when an Abid Alfadil penalty kick knotted the score up at one apiece.

The home team made it 2-1 with just over six minutes to play, but Andrew Ireland (Coshocton) helped Bluffton salvage a tie when he answered back less than a minute later.

Bluffton fired 17 more shots (21-4) at the Crusader defense, including 15-3 on frame. The Beavers forced all seven corner kicks in the match.

Leonardo Campos (Santiago, Chile/Campbellsville University) led the offense with four shots. Mathias Garcia (Fort Wayne, Ind./New Haven) and Devin Homan (Dayton/Stebbins) added three attempts apiece.

Bluffton is back in Beaver country for a 4 p.m. matchup with Baldwin Wallace on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
