BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team saw three of its members honored with post-season hardware following the 2024 season. Juniors Leonardo Campos (Santiago, Chile/Campbellsville University) and Alex Brown (Delaware/Buckeye Valley) were both showered with 2nd Team All-HCAC honors, while senior Brycen Boyle (Middletown) collected 3rd Team All-Heartland Conference.
Campos found the back of the net six times this season after netting five tallies in 2023 and two in 2022. He was tied for team-high honors with 12 points, putting 15 of his 30 shot attempts on frame. Campos scored both goals in Bluffton's 2-1 over 2023 HCAC champion Manchester.
His work has always been all-conference worthy in the back, but Brown showed his versatility with three goals and an assist in 2024. He buried three game winners, proving to be Bluffton's swiss army knife this season. Brown's ability to track down forwards is second to none and he played an integral part in Bluffton allowing a dozen fewer goals than it did in 2023.
Boyle returned to the pitch in 2024 after taking a season off and he did not miss a beat, having a career year with three goals and two assists for eight total points. He needed just 12 shots, placing half of them on frame, including the game winner in Bluffton's 2-0 shutout of rival Franklin College.
Bluffton's 1-1 tie at Earlham sent the Beavers to their 4th straight Heartland Conference tournament, the only four berths in Bluffton men's socccer history!
