Heartland Conference release

BLUFFTON, Ohio – After an impressive season where the Bluffton University men advanced to the HCAC semifinals, the Beavers saw three of their members honored with post-season hardware following the 2025 campaign. Senior Leonardo Campos (Santiago, Chile/Campbellsville University) was selected 1st Team All-HCAC, while classmate Alex Brown (Delaware/Buckeye Valley) finished with 2nd Team All-Heartland honors. Rounding out the award recognition was freshman Jaden Ngufor (London, Ont. Canada/FC London), who excelled in his first collegiate year on the pitch, collecting 3rd team All HCAC recognition.

Starting in all 19 games this season, Campos would finish the season with 17 points, that included six goals and five assists. The senior midfielder was efficient with his shots, with 55.2 percent (16-of-29) being on frame. Campos jumped up to 10th all-time with 19 goals and his 45 career points are 11th all-time. He finished his decorated career 8th all-time with 68 matches and 5,033 minutes played.

While setting the program record with 6003 minutes played, Alex Brown capped off a tremendous career with another stellar season. After anchoring Bluffton's stout defensive unit throughout his first three seasons, Brown saw an uptick in minutes on the offensive side of the ball as a senior. He finished with a team-high 20 points (8th HCAC) that included eight goals and four assists. His eight tallies placed him in the upper echelon of the HCAC, tied for 5th. He also finished 4th in the conference in shots on goal, recording 26 this season.

Brown established a new mark for matches played with 71 and his 69 starts equaled Jordan Andrews for the high-water mark in Bluffton University history. He tallied 13 goals, including six game winners, and six assists for 32 career points.

In his first year for the Beavers, Jaden Ngufor made an immediate impact, starting in 16 of 18 matches this season and finishing fourth on the team in total points with 14. He was a great distributor, recording six assists on the season, good enough to be tied for 4th in the HCAC and 7th all-time at Bluffton. The forward was also active attacking the net, scoring four times on 21 shots on goal, with the 21 shots on goal being the 8th most in the conference.

The three Beavers were integral components of a soccer program which finished the season with an 8-10-1 record and a 5-4 mark in the conference. It was the 5th consecutive year Bluffton earned entry to the HCAC Tournament, and only the second time in program history that the Beavers played in an HCAC semifinal contest.
