Harry Kirwan is entering his second season as a coach for the men’s soccer program. Kirwan is a native of Lincoln, England. Prior to his move to the United States, Kirwan played for Lincoln City Academy and went on to captain and play for his county of Lincolnshire.

Harry then moved to the United States in 2014 where he attended and played at St. Catharine College, of the NAIA, in Kentucky. In his first year at St. Catharine, the program experienced a record-breaking campaign. The team recorded the most wins in a season and earned the program’s only appearance in the conference tournament final, where they lost 2-1 to nationally ranked Lindsey Wilson. After his second year, Kirwan transferred to Midway University in Kentucky. Harry was a key component in the rise of the first year program. As a senior, he captained the Eagles and led them to the conference tournament final, where they lost in penalty kicks to nationally-ranked West Virginia Tech. In his time at St. Catharine and Midway, Kirwan proved to be a core member of both programs as he was a four-year starter in the backline and appeared in 74 matches during his collegiate career. Upon the conclusion of his senior year, he was named to the NAIA All-South Region team.

Throughout Kirwan’s undergraduate studies, he earned numerous awards off the field, such as Scholar All-America Team by the United Soccer Coaches, Daktronics NAIA Men’s Scholar Award, NAIA Champions of Character Award, Midway University Spirit and Leadership award as well as multiple Athletic Director Honor Roll awards and all-conference academic awards.

Kirwan earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in sports management from Midway University in 2017.
