BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University distance standout Dakota Frost (Edgerton/Hicksville) has been named the Heartland Conference Track Athlete of the Week. He is the first Beaver to earn HCAC Track Athlete of the Week honors this year.

Frost added his name into the Bluffton outdoor track and field record book, taking down the 3000 meter record with a time of 9:20.60, shattering the mark originally set by Ryan Schadewald in 2012 when he ran a time of 9:36.59.

The Beavers now look ahead to next weekend's HCAC Outdoor Championships at Mount St. Joseph. The meet starts on Friday, April 26, at 3 p.m. and will continue on Saturday, April 27, at 11 a.m.
