Gist earns USTFCCCA All-Region honors

BLUFFTON, Ohio - All Region honors for the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season.

Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.

Notching Great Lakes All-Region honors from Bluffton with a season-best time of 14.28 in the 110 meter hurdles at the Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet on Friday, May 9, was Desmond Gist (Detroit, Mich./Trenton) who already held the school mark with a 14.26!

Gist and the Bluffton coaching staff traveled to Spire Institute on Wednesday and he is performing his final training sessions on Thursday, May 22, before matching up with the best NCAA Division III athletes in the country on Friday, May 23, at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships!
