Women Finish 10th and Men 11th at Wilmington Fall Classic

On October 14 the Bluffton University cross country team traveled to Wilmington for the Wilmington College Fall Classic. The women placed 10th out of 15 teams, while the men were 11th of 15.

SARAH HUMPHREY (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) led the way for the women's team finishing 18th with a time of 20:43. Senior JEN CREAMER (Westerville/Westerville South) was the second Beaver to cross the finish line placing 34th with a time of 21:24. BREE FETTERMAN (North Royalton/Padua) finished the race in 22:06 placing 48th.

The men were once again led by senior DAN ROSEBROCK (Napleon/Napleon) who crossed the line in 27:50 good for 36th place. Sophomore HILARY SHILASIO (Eldoret, Kenya) and senior PAT COOLEY (Ludlow Falls/Milton Union) came in next for Bluffton, placing 59th (29:10) and 63rd (29:41). Junior JOHNNY ICHRIST (Toledo/Whitmer) completed the 8k race in 30:24 finishing 72nd.

The Beavers return to action on October 29 when they host the 2005  Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships at Bluffton.
