BLUFFTON, Ohio - Junior pitcher SARAH BETTS (Bryan, Ohio/Bryan) has been selected as the Heartland Conference's softball Co-player-of-the-week for the week ending April 10.

Betts picked up the win in all four of the Beavers contests last week. Against Heidelberg Betts allowed only two hits over two games and struck out 12 batters. On April 9 in the team's HCAC opener vs. Hanover College, Betts allowed only five hits and struck out 17 batters.

"Sarah was very impressive in both outings. She pitched very well," head coach Holly Spann said. "Even on Saturday when she didn't feel well she came in and got the job done. The team's defense was also very solid as they helped back Sarah up on the week."
