Miller and Babcock named Players of Week in HCAC

BLUFFTON, Ohio - LINDSEY MILLER (Wapakoneta) and BROOKE BABCOCK (Findlay) were recently named Players of the Week in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference following their performances at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Florida.

Senior infielder Lindsey Miller led the Beavers to their best 10-game start in school history. Bluffton went 8-2 at the Rebel Spring Games with the only losses coming in extra innings. Miller hit .472 (17-of-36) with four home runs, three doubles and 15 RBI. She scored seven runs, slugged .889 and finished the week with a .472 on-base percentage.

Junior hurler Brooke Babcock pitched in seven games for the Beavers, going 4-1 with two saves in 36.2 innings. Babcock started four contests, struck out 43 batters and tossed four complete games with a 1.34 earned run average. She limited opponents to a .201 batting average for the week.

Bluffton returns home to Ohio where the Beavers will host Ursuline on Thursday, March 12, at 3:30 p.m.
