Adrian comeback tops BC 80-68

December 7, 2000

Led by Sarah Vincke's nine 3-pointers and 35 points, a visiting Adrian College squad overcame an early Bluffton lead to claim an 80-68 victory in Founders Hall Thursday night.

The Beavers scored the first seven points of the game and went up by as many as nine points midway through the first half, but a 10-2 Adrian run before halftime swung the momentum to the Bulldogs as they tied the score at 32-32 at the intermission.

The two teams traded leads throughout the early stages of the second half, but Adrian went on a 13-0 run with just under eight minutes left in the game and did not trail the rest of the way. Vincke hit seven of her 3-pointers in the second half to send her Bulldog squad to their fourth win of the season against just two losses.

Elizabeth Snavely led Bluffton with 21 points and added eight rebounds as the Beavers slip to 2-3 on the season. Michelle Ray added 13 points and eight boards while Jen Bear chipped in 10 points. Melissa James collected a team-high nine rebounds, while Karen Harris scored nine points and dished out eight assists.

Bluffton will return to action next Wednesday night against Ohio Northern University at 7:30 in Founders Hall.
