Bluffton blown out by Adrian 78-44

A tough Adrian College defense held Bluffton to a 17.9% shooting clip in the first half and didn't let up in the second half as the host Bulldog squad took a 78-44 win over Bluffton College in Adrian, Michigan Wednesday night.

Adrian jumped out to a 26-2 lead after the first 13 minutes of the game. Bluffton hit five field field goals in the first, two of which were 3-pointers by sophomore guard Karen Harris within 50 seconds of each other.

Bluffton falls to 0-7, while Adrian improves to 4-1. The Beavers will return to action next Saturday at home against The College of Mount St. Joseph at 2:00.

Harris and junior Heather Demery shared the team scoring honors with nine points each. Junior Melissa James added seven points and a team-high seven rebounds.
