January 26, 2002

Junior Lyndsey Robinson grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds and junior Melissa James scored a team-high 17 points, but a slow start was too much for Bluffton to overcome as the Beavers fell 71-55 at Mount St. Joseph on Saturday afternoon.

Bluffton saw the Mount score the first 18 points of the game and trailed 37-14 at halftime. The Beavers outscored the Lions 41-34 in the second half and took a 47-46 rebounding advantage for the game.

Bluffton (0-19, 0-10 HCAC) connected on a season-high 22 free throws in the game, but Mount St. Joseph (8-12, 3-7 HCAC) forced 26 BC turnovers.

Robinson added 14 points to her rebounding total, while James grabbed seven boards. Sophomore Lindsay Bacon chipped in 10 points and had three steals.

Bluffton will return to action on Saturday, February 2 in Founders Hall as the Beavers host Anderson University at 3:00.
