Senior Lyndsey Robinson scored a team-high 12 points, 10 of those coming in the second half, but Bluffton College was dealt a 75-48 loss by NAIA foe Walsh University Friday night in the opening game of the Notre Dame College of Ohio Tournament.

Robinson added nine rebounds to nearly notch her eighth career double-double, while senior teammate Melissa James came close to doing the same with eight points and eight rebounds.

Senior Kristen Siller dished out a career-high four assists and 6-1 freshman Karen Schaller made her BC debut by playing 20 minutes and collecting three rebounds, two blocked shots and one assist.

Bluffton out-rebounded Walsh 37-29 and shot a season-high 67% (2-for-3) from 3-point range.

Two jumpers from James and a 3-pointer by junior Karen Harris got Bluffton within seven points at 22-15 with 9:04 remaining in the first half, but Walsh would pull away at that point to improve to 7-3 on the season. Bluffton falls to 1-8 and will face Lake Erie College, which BC defeated on Dec. 16, in the tournament's consolation game on Saturday at 2 p.m.
