Bluffton College nearly notched a new season-high for field goal percentage, but a visiting Muskingum College squad opened the game with a 17-2 run and never let the Beavers into it to take a 71-49 win in Founders Hall Saturday afternoon.

Bluffton (1-10 overall) shot 42.0% from the floor, which nearly equaled their season-high of 42.9% at Manchester on Dec. 4.

The game was Bluffton's first at home since Nov. 30 as the Beavers ended a six-game, 34-day span away from Founders Hall.

Senior Lyndsey Robinson led the Beavers with 15 points, while senior Melissa James added 11 and was 2-for-4 from 3-point range.

Junior Karen Harris scored six points and senior Liesel Hughett chipped in four.

Bluffton will travel to Franklin College Wed. night at 7 p.m.
