James and Robinson named All-HCAC

Bluffton College seniors Melissa James and Lyndsey Robinson have received honorable mention honors in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference following a vote by the HCAC coaches, released March 6. 

James and Robinson led the Beavers in scoring in all but five games this season and ranked among the HCAC leaders in many statistics.

Robinson ranked 19th in the league in scoring (10.1 ppg), 6th in rebounding (7.0 rpg) and 12th in field goal percentage (.425). She finished her career at Bluffton ranked 10th on the all-time rebounding list (458 rebounds), 11th on the free throws made list (153 FT's) and 22nd on the scoring list (627 points).

James averaged 11.4 points per game this season, which led the team and ranked 13th in the HCAC, and she increased that average to 13.3 points in conference games, which ranked 7th in the HCAC. Her 29 3-pointers and 18 blocked shots both ranked 7th in the HCAC this season, and she ranked 9th in rebounding (6.2 rpg), 10th in 3-point shooting percentage (.309) and 15th in steals (36).

James tied the Bluffton record for career games played as she played in all 102 varsity games during her four seasons. She finished her career ranked 6th on Bluffton's all-time rebounding list (495 rebounds), 8th on the free throw percentage list (.726), 12th on the scoring list (718 points), 13th on the steals list (105), 16th on the assists list (145) and 19th on the free throws made list (127).
