Muskingum picks up 72-50 win against Bluffton

 

BLUFFTON , OHIO - In Bluffton's third game of the 2003-04 season sophomore Karin Schaller (Jenera/Arlington) broke the Bluffton College blocks per game record. Schaller posted eight blocks in Bluffton's 72-50 lost to Muskingum , eclipsing the previous record of five blocks in a game.

Schaller currently ranks 1st in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in rebounding with 11.3 rebounds per game and in blocked shots with 15 on the year for an average of five blocks per game. Schaller's 10.7 points per game also ranks 14th in the HCAC this season.

Coach Amanda Curtis commented on Schaller's record breaking night, "Karin has been working very hard on defense and has played outstanding defense so far this year. I'm sure this won't be the last defensive record she breaks this year."

Bluffton is currently 0-3 for the 2003 campaign. The Beavers have their home opener on Wednesday night when they host Capital University . Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
