BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's basketball team (2-4) handily beat Lake Erie College (0-1) on Dec. 1 by a score of 80-40.  The Beavers have now won as many games as the entire 2003-04 season very early in the new campaign.

Bluffton started the game with a twenty point run and didn't let the Storm score until the 13:49 mark in the first half.  Taking a 25 point lead into the locker room (42-17), Bluffton never looked back.  The Beavers widened the score to over forty points, making it the largest margin of victory since head coach Amanda Curtis took over the team three years ago.

Leading Bluffton on the night was freshman LINDSAY BUSH (Howard/East Knox).  Bush posted her first collegiate career double-double, scoring 10 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.  ASHLEIGH STALLKAMP (Paulding/Paulding) led the Beavers in scoring with 17 points, the freshman also added eight steals on the night.  Junior KARIN SCHALLER (Jenera/Arlington) posted eight rebounds, six points and knocked down four blocks on the evening.

The women's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday as they host Marygrove College.  Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Founder's Hall.
