BLUFFTON, Ohio - Sophomore ASHLEIGH STALLKAMP (Paulding/Paulding) has been named All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference for the 2005-06 season. Junior TANYA RICKENBERG (Paulding/Paulding) and sophomore ANGIE LEE (Mt. Blanchard/Vanlue) both earned honorable mention All-HCAC honors for their efforts on the court this season.

Stallkamp, who becomes the first women's basketball player since Jen Baer in 2000-01 to be named All-HCAC, led the Beavers in scoring for the second year in a row with 346 points (13.8 ppg). In just two seasons, Ashley has poured in 721 career points which places her 13th on the all-time scoring list at Bluffton. She needs only 401 points to surpass Janice Bruner (1983-86) as the most prolific scorer in women's basketball history.

In addition to leading the Beavers in scoring, Stallkamp picked up a team-high 55 steals, pulled down 109 rebounds (4.4 rpg) and dished out 72 assists in 2005-06. She hit 133-of-377 shots from the field for 36.3 percent, including 18-of-92 from outside the 3-point line. Stallkamp also swatted away 11 shots for the Beavers this year. Ashley was chosen HCAC Player of the Week for her 42 points, 11 rebounds, eight steals and three assists versus Anderson and Mount St. Joseph early in February.

Junior point guard Tanya Rickenberg earned honorable mention All-HCAC acclaim for the third consecutive season. She tallied 272 points (10.5 ppg) for the second consecutive season following her freshman record 391 points in 2003-04. Tanya led the Beavers with 80 assists (3.1 apg) while hauling in 144 rebounds (5.5 rpg) which was the second highest total on the team. She also created 37 steals for the season. Rickenberg hit 63-of-87 shots from the charity stripe for 72.4 percent.

Sophomore guard Angie Lee earned her first post-season HCAC award as she was chosen honorable mention for the 2005-06 season. Lee improved throughout the season and ended the year as the Beavers' second highest scorer with 10.9 points per game for 272 total points in 25 games. She knocked in 54-of-71 free throws for 76.1 percent while hitting 24-of-73 (32.9 percent) shots from outside the arc. Lee finished with 60 assists, 72 rebounds (2.9 rpg) and 22 steals. Angie's career-high 30 points versus Defiance on January 25 vaulted her to Player of the Week in the HCAC for her performances during the week.

Bluffton University finished the 2005-06 season with a 4-22 mark overall, including a 2-12 record in HCAC contests which was the most conference victories since 2000-01. The Beavers fell to the Franklin College Grizzlies, who were the regular season champions, in the opening round of the HCAC tournament by a final score of 77-41.
