BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University all-time leading scorer TANYA RICKENBERG (Paulding/Paulding) capped off her record-setting career as a Beaver by being named honorable mention All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference for the 2006-07 season. Named to the 2006-07 All-Freshmen Team was LINDSAY EBBESKOTTE (Delphos/Jefferson). |
| Senior Tanya Rickenberg was recognized by the Heartland Conference coaches for the fourth straight year. She earned honorable mention recognition following each of her four years in a Bluffton uniform. Rickenberg tallied 306 points for the season, third-highest on the team, for a 12.2 points per game average. For the year, she hit 104-of-237 field goal attempts (43.9 percent), including 18-of-54 from long distance for 33.3 percent. At the charity stripe, Rickenberg connected on 80-of-109 attempts for 73.4 percent. Her 141 rebounds were the second-most for the Beavers, behind junior post LINDSAY BUSH (Howard/East Knox) who pulled down 202 caroms. She dished out 63 assists, picked up 27 steals and blocked nine shots in her final season at Bluffton. |

Rickenberg leaves Bluffton as the women's basketball all-time leading scorer with 1,241 points (12.2 ppg), having shattered Janice Bruner's previous mark of 1,121 points which stood for 21 years. She finishes as the most prolific free throw shooter in women's history as she drained 361 career foul shots for the Beavers. Her 527 rebounds, sixth-highest on the all-time list at Bluffton, coupled with her 1,241 points makes her only the second women's basketball player to score over 1,000 points and pull down over 500 boards, the first being Paula Slaughter who played from 1987-89. In addition to her scoring prowess, Rickenberg was also extremely unselfish with the ball, ending her career with 308 assists, the third-highest all-time at Bluffton. |

Also honored by the HCAC coaches for her work on the hardwood during the 2006-07 season was Lindsay Ebbeskotte who was named to the All-Freshmen Team. She hit 30-of-90 shots from the field (33.3 percent), including 18-of-51 on three-pointers (35.3 percent). Ebbeskotte pulled down 73 boards for a 3.3 rebounds per game average. In her first collegiate season, she tallied 92 points (4.2 ppg), 26 steals and 19 assists. Bluffton University finished the 2006-07 season with a 6-19 mark overall, including a 4-12 record in HCAC contests which was the most conference victories since 2000-01. The Beavers won three consecutive games for the first time since the 1999-2000 campaign. |
