Bluffton breaks school record at Stateline Shootout

HARRISON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's golf team kicked off the 2019-20 campaign in style, breaking the school record for 18 holes with a 382 as all four scorers were in double figures at the Stateline Shootout! 

Leading the way was freshman Haley Gill (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central) who teed off her collegiate career with a 93 which placed her 23rd on day one. Two strokes back was sophomore Keely Briggs (Franklin) who tallied a 95 for the Beavers. Freshman Marissa Hall (Avon Lake) and sophomore Brylee Oberdorf (Green Springs/Clyde) rounded out the top four with scores of 96 and 98, respectively. Sophomore Abby Bullion (Bellevue) carded a 100 and freshman Grace Branson (Carlisle) was nipping at her heels with a 101.

The Beavers will be back at the Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course on Sunday, Sept. 1, when day two tees off at approximately 10 a.m.
