Bluffton stands 5th at Heidelberg Invitational

Fostoria, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's golf team picked up where it left off last week when the Beavers opened the Heidelberg Fall Invitational with a 330 on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023. It is the 5th-best 18-hole score in school history anbd it has the women 5th after day one.

Junior Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) felt good on her home course, the Fostoria Country Club, shooting a 78 on Saturday! She is tied for 12th at the midway point. Freshman Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) stepped up to the plate and carded an 81 for the Beavers. Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Hilliard Bradley) made it three under 85 as she finished with an 83.

Sophomore Sara Kroeger (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) rounded out the scoring four with an 88. Senior Shelby Stammen (Fort Recovery) chipped in with a 93, while freshmen Gabby Green (Beavercreek, Ohio/Carroll) and Alyssa Begoon (New Madison, Ohio/Tri-Village) went 94 and 96, respectively.

The Beavers will cap off their third straight weekend of golf on Sunday, Sept. 17, when they play 18 more holes at Fostoria for day two of the Heidelberg Fall Invitational.
