Cline wins Kuhn Memorial Invitational with 146

MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Bluffton University women's golf team saw another major school record go by the wayside as the Beavers took 6th in a top-notch field at the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023.

Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) followed up her 72 from Sunday with a 74 on Monday, claiming medalist honors by two strokes with her school-record 146 at the event hosted by Allegheny College! She fired a 1-over par on Sunday and a 3-over on Monday en route to the second individual championship by a Bluffton woman in the first four weeks of competition this fall.

Also finishing in the to 15 was fellow junior Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Bradley) who fired a 76 on day two, adding up to a 158 and tying her for 5th all-time (36 holes). Freshman Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) dropped three strokes off her Sunday score with an 83 on Monday.

Sophomore Sara Kroeger (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) and freshman Alyssa Begoon (New Madison/Tri-Village) rounded out the tournament with scores of 179 and 206, respectively.

Bluffton will jump right back into action on Saturday, Sept. 30, when it hosts the Beaver Fall Classic. The annual two-day event will feature both men and women at the Bluffton Golf Club.
