SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's golf team just beat the darkness, finishing day one of the Wittenberg Fall Classic with a 351 on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023. Playing in same-school fivesomes the first nine took nearly four hours, but Bluffton managed to get out in front of the whistle as three schools will need to finish round one on Monday morning before playing the final 18 holes.

Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) struggled down the stretch, but she still stands just four strokes off the lead after shooting an 82 on Sunday. Fellow junior Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Bradley) and freshman Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) chipped in with identical scores of 88.

Senior Shelby Stammen (Fort Recovery) and sophomore Sara Kroeger (Cincinnati/Notre Dame) rounded out the first 18 holes at 93 and 102, respectively.
