Beavers take 5th at Franklin Spring Invite

FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Bluffton University women's golf team shaved 17 strokes off its Saturday score, firing a 336 at the Franklin Lady Grizzly Invite on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Bluffton moved up into 5th place, just 16 strokes back of 2nd place Mount St. Joseph.

Junior Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) lit up the course with a 78 on Sunday, giving her a team-low 163 and 7th place finish for the weekend! Freshman Hope Manning (South Charleston/Southeastern) dropped four strokes from Saturday, shooting 87-83 for a 170.

Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Bradley) went 90-86 for a 176, while Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) tallied an 89 after finishing with a 91 on day one.

Senior Shelby Stammen (Fort Recovery) had a stellar final collegiate round, carding an 89 and wrapping up her career with a 186 at The Legends Golf Club. Freshman Alyssa Begoon (New Madison/Tri-Village) shot a 100 on Sunday after her 103 on Saturday.

The Bluffton women will get to work on finals this week before a trip to the Heartland Conference Championships at Hidden Creek Golf Club in Sellersburg, Ind. on Friday, May 10!
