MEADVILLE, Penn. - The Bluffton University women's golf team took fifth place at the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024. Bluffton shot a 330 after putting up a 326 on Sunday, adding up to a 656 for the weekend.
Seniors Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Bradley) and Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) led the charge with scores of 79 and 80, respectively, on Monday. Cline finished with a 13-over par 155 for the weekend, good for 7th place. Waggener was tied for 13th with a 161 at the Country Club of Meadville.
Sophomore Hope Manning (South Charleston/Southeastern) shot 82-82 for a 164 which was good for 15th place. Jordan Hemmelgarn (Coldwater) carded an 89 after shooting an 87 on Sunday, while Gabby Green (Beavercreek/Carroll) shaved seven strokes off her Sunday score with an 89 on day two.
Bluffton will hit pause this weekend before hosting the Beaver Fall Classic at Bluffton Golf Club as part of the Homecoming festivities on October 5-6.
