Beavers win one against Orchard Lake St. Mary's and drops one to Anderson

The Bluffton women's soccer team defeated Orchard Lake St. Mary's and lost to Anderson University last week. So far this season Bluffton has won three games and lost eight.

Coming off a tough loss to Goshen College, Bluffton was able to slap Orchard Lake St. Mary's with an impressive 4-1 victory. The victory was the third off Bluffton's 2000 season. The next stop for the Beavers was Anderson University. The Ravens were able to dominate the league game handing the Beavers an 8-0 loss. With the loss to Anderson Bluffton falls to 1-2 in the HCAC conference standings.

Katie Kantner has been Bluffton's top point getter this season with 11 off of 3 goals and 5 assists. Sarah Shepard and Whitney Wood have both scored 3 goals so far this season giving them 6 points each. Laura Anderson and April Leu have scored two goals for the Beavers this season leaving them with 4 points on the year. Lisa Bard has also added a goal for the Beavers, while Kelly Dietrick has posted an assist. Goalkeeper Alayne Troyer leads the team with 70 saves so far this season.

BC traveled to Manchester College on Tuesday and will play at Shawnee State on Friday.
