Beavers fall to MSJ, 5-0

BLUFFTON, OHIO - The Bluffton College women's soccer team (1-9, 0-3 HCAC) lost 5-0 to the College of Mount St. Joseph on Saturday at the BC soccer field.

Mount St. Joseph scored three goals in the first half and added two more in the second half to take a 5-0 victory.  The Lions took twelve shots on the day, while the Beavers managed just five.  However, Bluffton played tough down the stretch allowing no goals in the final 35 minutes of the game.

Leading the Beavers on the day was junior HEATHER BROOKE (Defiance/Defiance) with three shots.  BC goalkeeper ROCHELLE SACCOMEN (Ashland/Ashland) posted six saves on the day.  Bluffton returns to action next week with road games at Thomas More next Friday with a 2pm start time, and Saturday at Transylvania with the kickoff scheduled for noon.
