BLUFFTON, Ohio -The Bluffton University women's soccer team (1-8, 0-3) dropped a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest to the Mount St. Joseph Lions (7-5, 2-0) on Saturday, October 8, 2005 by a score of 7-0.

Freshmen Elyse Burckhart (Telford Pa./Sauderton) and Allison White (Lima/Shawnee) led the Beavers with three shots apiece. Sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Bloom (Tiffin/Calvert) recorded 17 saves against a talented Lion team that has won five of its last six contests.

Bluffton will return to action on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 when it hosts HCAC rival Manchester College. The match is set to begin at 4 p.m.
