Bluffton College came up short in their effort to topple the #2 team in the country on Tuesday night in Founders Hall as The College of Mount St. Joseph defeated the Beavers in three games (24-30, 13-30, 25-30).

Bluffton (7-18, 2-2 Heartland Conference) knocked off the HCAC's top team, Anderson University, last week in Founders Hall, but Mount St. Joseph (20-4, 4-0 HCAC) took control of the match on this night to remain alone at the top of the league standings.

Bluffton's Mandy Pequignot (DeGraff/Indian Lake) led the Beavers with 11 kills and seven blocks, while Jaime Frisk (Wooster) added six kills and a 17 digs. Erica Jellison (Van Wert) collected a team-high 28 assists and 19 digs.

Mount St. Joseph's Betsy Owens recorded a team-high 12 kills, while Jayne Kemphaus had 13 digs and Molley Middendorf notched 26 assists.
