Bluffton season ends, Pequignot named All-HCAC

The Bluffton College volleyball team saw their season come to an end on Friday in the first round of the Heartland Conference Tournament hosted by Defiance College. The Beavers carried a #4 seed into the tournament but fell in three games to #5 seed Anderson University 19-30, 18-30, 21-30. Statistics from this match were not available at press time.

   
  Senior Mandy Pequignot has been named first team All-HCAC for the third straight season.

Senior Mandy Pequignot has been named first team All-HCAC for the third straight year. The 5-10 outside hitter ranked fifth in the conference in kills (3.31 kpg) and sixth in the league in blocks (.76 bpg).

Bluffton finished fourth in the HCAC this season with a 3-3 league record that included a five-game victory over Anderson (26-11 overall) in Founders Hall on October 11.

The Beavers added another big win on Senior Night with a five-game win over Thomas More on October 29. BC posted a 10-23 overall record this season.
