Sophomore Keri Kuhlman (Shelby/Shelby) has been named second team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference for the 2003 season. The middle hitter led the Beavers in six categories for the year. She led the team in kills (301), kills per game (2.53), solo (52), total blocks (139), blocks per game (1.17) and in service aces (40). In the Heartland conference, Kuhlman was fourth in blocks per game and seventh in service aces.

Kuhlman was also named to all-tournament teams four times during the season. As a team Bluffton finished at 17-16, 3-4 HCAC. The 17 wins is Bluffton's highest win total since the 2000 season when the Beavers posted 19 wins.

"I'm very excited that Keri made the all-conference team as a sophomore," head coach Sara Wakefield said. "We have a very competitive conference, so this is a great honor for her and our program as a whole. I know she will continue to be a leader on the team over the next two years."
