BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University volleyball team (3-2) was defeated by neighbor school Ohio Northern (4-0) in three games on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Match scores were 30-24, 30-16, 30-17.

Senior KERI KUHLMAN (Shelby/Shelby) had a good game as she hit .400 percent with nine kills and eight digs on the evening. Junior BRITTANY SHULTZ (Hudson, Ind./Prairie Heights) paced the Beaver's offense with 16 points and contributed eight digs. Freshman CHELSEA WYSE (Archbold/Archbold) led the team with nine digs on the match.

"I thought in game one we played a solid 30 points, the difference was we created too many unforced errors to lose," head coach Steve Yarnell said. "Games two and three mentally the team lost some air in their sail and the experience of Ohio Northern prevailed."

The Beavers will be back in action on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 9-10 at the Wooster Tournament.
