BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University volleyball team (11-13, 0-5) fell 3-0 to Anderson (15-11, 3-2) in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match at Founders Hall on October 18, 2005. Game scores for the contest were 30-18, 30-23, and 30-18.

The Beavers fell behind 22-14 in the first game and never recovered. Ten hitting errors contributed to the 30-18 loss in the opener. A slow start in the second game cost Bluffton its chance to even the match as Anderson rolled out to a 20-10 advantage and never looked back. Bluffton jumped to a 4-0 lead in game three, but it was unable to hold the momentum against a hard-hitting Raven squad that completed the sweep 30-18. KERI KUHLMAN (Shelby/Shelby), who was the lone honoree on Senior night, led the Beavers with 10 kills and pushed her career total to 1201. Sophomore RACHEL ALVAREZ (Convoy/Crestview) recorded a team-high ten digs. Junior BRITTANY SHULTZ (Hudson, Ind./Prairie Heights) finished with 25 assists for the Beavers.

Bluffton will be return to action on Wednesday, October 26 when it travels to face Franklin. The match is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
