Franklin stays undefeated in HCAC wtih 3-1 win over Bluffton

FRANKLIN, Indiana - The Bluffton University volleyball team traveled to Franklin, Ind., for a 7 p.m. match against the Grizzlies on Saturday, Oct. 11. The Beavers battled with the Grizzlies through four tough sets (25-23, 25-19, 21-25, 25-21), coming up just short as Franklin stayed perfect at 4-0 in the Heartland Conference, Bluffton fell to 16-7 overall and 3-1 in the HCAC.

Junior SARA ROTH (Findlay/Van Buren) doled out 35 assists on the night and sophomore MACKENZIE MCFARLIN (Ashland) led the Beavers with 16 kills. Juniors JENNY BROWN (St Marys/ Memorial) and KENDRA PARMENTER (Grove City) added 12 and 11 kills, respectively, for Bluffton. SYDNEY MOHLER (Lima/Central Catholic) led the Beavers defensively with 15 digs while McFarlin and Roth followed close behind with 13 and 10 digs, respectively. LAUREN WEISGARBER (Bolivar/Tuscarawas Valley) was in on four block assists for Bluffton.

Bluffton return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at Anderson. The Heartland Conference matchup with the Ravens is slated for 7 p.m.
