Kendra Parmenter Named POTW

October 12, 2015

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University's Kendra Parmenter (Grove City) led the Beavers to convincing wins over Defiance and Transylvania during the week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week on offense. It marks the fourth straight week that a Beaver has been honored. Sophomore Sydney Mohler (Lima/Central Catholic) took home Defensive Player of the Week last week following back-to-back weeks of Jenny Brown (St. Marys/Memorial) claiming Offensive Player of the Week recognition!

The senior outside hitter hit .348 for the week with 32 kills (4.57/set) as the Beavers won their ninth and tenth consecutive matches. In Bluffton's 3-0 sweep of Defiance, Parmenter tallied 17 kills to break Casey May's school record (1,327) for career kills. Heading into this week's home contest with Anderson, Parmenter has 1,345 career kills.

Bluffton (13-6, 4-0 HCAC) will host Anderson in conference play Wednesday before playing at national powerhouse Calvin over the weekend.
