LEXINGTON, Ky. - Transylvania University downed the Bluffton volleyball team in straight sets on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022. Bluffton fell to 12-6 and 1-1 in the Heartland Conference, while the Pioneers improved to 13-5 nd 1-0 in the HCAC.
Sophomore Chloei Barnett (Wapakoneta) led the offense with five kills on Saturday. Sophomore Julianne Kincaid (Galion/Northmor) and Kaylie Campbell (Camden/Preble Shawnee) both added three kills with Kincaid hitting .429 thanks to no errors on seven swings.
Freshman Emma Organ (Lambertville, MI/St. Ursula Academy) picked up seven digs, while Maddie White (Ashland) and Gabby Williams (West Liberty/West Liberty-Salem) handed out six assists apiece. White, Organ and Alysha Like (McComb) all fired two aces at the Pioneers.
Bluffton will welcome Manchester University to the Sommer Center on Wednesday, Oct. 5. The junior varsity tees it up at 6 p.m. with the varsity to follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.
