BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University volleyball team kicked off Homecoming weekend against HCAC-rival Hanover College on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023. The Panthers ran away with the first two sets and then held Bluffton off 25-22 for a Heartland Conference sweep. The home team fell to 5-20 overall and 0-5 in league play, while Hanover upped its mark to 16-5 and 4-1 in the Heartland.

Freshman Kasey Sager (Troy) was dominant at the net, spanking 10 kills against just three errors for a red-hot .389 hitting percentage. Senior Kelly Armentrout (Lima/Shawnee) and junior Chloei Barnett (Wapakoneta) followed with six spikes apiece.

Sophomore Emma Organ (Lambertville, Mich./St. Ursula) was all over the floor with a team-best 14 digs. She also fired three aces to lead the Beaver servers. Dishing out a team-high 18 assists was freshman setter Mallory Fluharty (Wooster/Triway).

Bluffton is off for the weekend before hitting the road on Wednesday, Oct. 25. North Manchester, Ind., is the site when the Beavers take on Manchester University. First serve is slated for 6:30 p.m.
