BLUFFTON, Ohio - Freshman Sarah Humphrey (Upper Sandusky, Ohio/Upper Sandusky) has been named Co-HCAC player of the week in women's cross country. 

Humphrey helped lead the Beavers over Defiance College in their dual meet last Saturday. She won the overall women's race in a time of 24:54. It was only the second time that Humphrey had ran a competitive 6K race in her collegiate career.

"Sarah has been performing really well, especially just coming in as a freshman," head coach Janey Meeks said. "She has been working really hard and came into the season in good shape. She will be a tough competitor at conference."

The Beavers have a week off before competing in the All-Ohio Championships on October 8.
