Espinoza and Humphrey named HCAC players-of-week

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University's DAVE ESPINOZA (Toledo/Whitmer) and SARAH HUMPHREY (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) have been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference players-of-the-week in men's and women's cross country. It was the second time that Humphrey has  earned the honor in the 2004 season and the first for Espinoza.

Humphrey, a freshman, placed 45th overall in the All-Ohio Championships last Friday. Runners from all NCAA divisions and the NAIA are invited to participate in the meet. Humphrey ran the 6K course in 20:50.6 which helped the women place 34th overall and 15th in NCAA Division III schools. It was the fifth time this season that she has led Bluffton in a meet.
  
Espinoza placed 43rd overall in the men's race at All-Ohio. The sophomore ran a time of 28:56.1, which is just one second off his career best time. As a team the men placed 33rd overall and 14th among NCAA Division III schools.

Bluffton University will participate in the Ohio Northern Invitational this Saturday in Ada, Ohio.
