Bluffton kicks off 2005 at Tiffin-Heidelberg Invite

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University cross country teams started their 2005 season with a solid showing at the Tiffin-Heidleberg Invitational. The men's team finished seventh out of eight teams and the women placed third out of eight teams.

On the men's side senior Dan Rosebrock (Napoleon/Napoleon) ran with a strong performance being the second collegiate runner to cross the line to finish fourth with the time of 13:15.1. The third and fourth runner's sophomore Hilliry Shilisio (Eldoret, Kenya) and senior Patrick Cooley (Ludlow Falls/Milton Union) also gave a solid performance by finishing 37th and 38th.

Senior Jennifer Creamer (Westerville/Westerville South) and sophomore Sarah Humphrey (Upper Sandusky/ Upper Sandusky) both finished in the top ten, with Creamer finishing seventh with a time of 16:38.5 and Humphrey crossing the line in eighth at 16:50.3.  Sophomore Bree Fetterman (North Royalton/Padua) and freshman Ashley Smith (Delta/Delta) also had great first races for the season finishing 22nd and 28th.   The Beavers defeated HCAC opponents Mount St. Joseph and Defiance College in the invitational.
