Women Finish 7th and Men 8th at Earlham Invite

BLUFFTON, Ohio -On Saturday October 1 the Bluffton University men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Richmond, Ind. for the Earlham Invitational.  The men finished eighth out of eleven teams, while the women placed seventh out of ten teams. 

Senior DAN ROSEBROCK (Napoleon/Napoleon) led the way for the Beavers finishing tenth with a time of 28:16. Sophomore HILARY SHILOSIO ( Eldoret, Kenya) also broke the 30 minute mark placing 24th crossing the line in 29:14. Senior PAT COOLEY (Ludlow Falls/Milton Union) finished in 56th with a time of 30:48. Rounding out the top five were sophomore MIKE KOCH (Liberty Center/Liberty Center) and sophomore PETER HUSTED (Carrollton/Carrollton) finishing 66th (31:21) and 70th (31:33).

Sophomore SARAH HUMPHREY (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) led the Bluffton women ending up 7th with a time of 20:39. She was followed by senior JENNIFER CREAMER(Westerville/Westerville South) who finished 26th with a time of 21:48. Senior STEPHANIE WELCH (Berne, Ind./South Adams) and sophomore BREE FETTERMAN (North Royalton/Padua) were 33rd (22:16) and 38th (22:27). Junior LAUREN BAILEY (Powell/Upper Arlington) rounded out the team scoring placing 55th with a time of 23:20.

The Beavers return to action on Friday, October 7 at the All-Ohio Championships.
