The Beavers compete at Earlham Invitational

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Bluffton University cross country team traveled to Richmond, Indiana, for the Earlham Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006. The women's team had a team score of 265 as it finished 10th out of 11 teams. Junior SARAH HUMPHREY (Upper Sandusky/Upper Sandusky) once again led the Beavers as she finished 18th, crossing the line in 21:10. Junior BREE FETTERMAN (North Royalton/Padua) was the second Bluffton runner to finish as she ended up 52nd with a time of 23:29. Senior LAUREN BAILEY (Powell/Upper Arlington) and freshman JENNIFER THOELE (Laura/Milton Union) finished 63rd (24:58) and 65th (25:37) respectively.

The men's team ended the day with 321 points which was good for 11th  place in the field of 13. Bluffton was led by junior HILARY SHILOSIO (Eldoret, Kenya) who finished 47th with a time of 29:39. Seniors PAT COOLEY (Ludlow Falls, Milton Union) and DAVE ESPINOZA(Toledo/Whitmer) crossed the line in 31:07 (63rd) and 31:42 (68th). Senior JOEL KOERNERwas the fourth man on Beaver the squad and he placed 70th, crossing the finish line in 32:12

The Beavers return to action on Saturday, October 6, when they will travel to Ohio Wesleyan for the 2006 All-Ohio Championships.
